VHDA | Radio show

La Casa de la Salud It has a radio space where important health topics of great interest and help to the Hispanic community in the Central Virginia area are discussed. This project started in June 2016 and has been sponsored by  Virginia Housing Development Authority (VHDA) since its inception.  The program focuses primarily on health issues that impact the Central Virginia Hispanic community. This radio program also provides an opportunity to discuss measures and reports related to local issues for the improvement of the quality of life, such as:

  • - Health services and programs at low cost.
  • - Oral health education and access to dental services.
  • - Health insurance.
  • - Medical costs.
  • - Advice on housing issues for people with allergies and asthma.
  • - Nutrition and physical activity to prevent diabetes and cardiovascular diseases.
